Yes, I was raised a farm girl, and yes, I know my way around a combine, tractor, 3-tonne truck and I definitely like to get my hands dirty.  But deep down, I'm actually kind of a girly-girl.

So it should come as no surprise that I like all things decorative -- glitter, makeup, jewelery, fashion accessories  -- and that includes decorations for my Twitter profile pic.  

Enter Twibbons -- a site that lets you publicly show your support for any and all topics that you might enjoy (or just pretty-up your picture for the fun of it).  Show your liking for sports teams, countries, art and social activism.  Recently, I added the "Speak Loudly" twibbon to show support for the anti-banning of books in school (check out the book "Speak" and the controversy surrounding it click here). 

Since I'm also a Saskatchewan girl, and bleed green for my Saskatchewan Roughriders, I recently updated my twibbon to use the Roughriders logo.  Oh, and to show loyalty for my favourite band Emerson Drive, I added their logo in the bottom left corner of my profile pic.

Soon you're not even going to be able to see my face itself!

So go ahead -- glam up your profile pic, show support for a cause, a band, a team, a holiday or just plain old have fun with it.  As one of my tweeps @tibon007 likes to quote (from Mr. Brad Paisley) "I'm so much cooler online."
